2025 Michigan First Credit Union Scholarship

Description

These Michigan First Credit Union 2025 Scholarship Competition Official Rules (“Official Rules”) are specific to the Michigan First Credit Union 2025 Scholarship Competition (the “Competition”). By participating in the Competition, each Entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, which will be posted and available at MichiganFirst.com.


Entrants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor, which decisions shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify Entrants and/or submissions that fail to comply with these Official Rules. The Competition is void in whole or in the part where prohibited by law. 


Competition Sponsor

The Competition Sponsor is Michigan First Credit Union (“Sponsor”), with scholarship awards funded by the Michigan First Foundation.


Entry Period

The entry period begins at 9:00 a.m. on April 7, 2025, and ends at 5:00 p.m. on May 9, 2025.

  • High School Senior Video (for current HS seniors)

  • High School Senior Essay (for current HS seniors)

  • College Student Video

  • College Student Essay 

Selection Process

Entrant Eligibility

High School entrant must:

  • Be a member in “good standing” with Michigan First Credit Union

  • Be a legal resident of the United States of America, age 17 or older

  • Be currently attending high school as a senior anywhere in the United states and having a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0

  • Plan on attending a U.S. Department of Education accredited college, university, 2-to-4 year community, vocational or technical college full time in the fall of 2025

  • Have/will have applicable education expenses payable to the college or university the student will be attending

College entrant must:

  • Be a member in “good standing” with Michigan First Credit Union

  • Be a legal resident of the United States of America, age 17 or older

  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0

  • Be a graduate or undergraduate student currently attending or planning to attend a U.S. Department of Education accredited college, university, 2-to-4 year community, vocational or technical college full time in upcoming fall 2025 semester. (Previous high school graduates must provide a copy of their senior transcripts. Veterans must provide a copy of their honorable discharge papers. Graduates must provide proof of diploma)

  • Have/will have applicable education expenses payable to the college or university the student will be attending

NOTE: Eligible Entrants may enter only once, and in only one category.

For individuals interested in attending college or trade school, the Michigan First Scholarship Competition helps those dreams become a reality. Eligible high school seniors, college students or technical college students planning to continue their education may enter the competition to win up to $10,000 in scholarship funds.
