Introduction

The KPMG Future Leaders Program is a charitable initiative designed to increase the diversity pipeline of women in business and STEM fields. Funded by the proceeds from the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit, the KPMG Future Leaders Program annually awards twenty-two students in their senior year of high school the opportunity to enhance their personal growth throughout their college experience with annual scholarships, ongoing development and support, mentorship and an introduction to golf.


Selected KPMG Future Leader Recipients receive:

1. An annual scholarship of $10,000 annually for four years to a 4-year undergraduate college or university program.


2. A Virtual KPMG Future Leaders Retreat (in July 2024) and ongoing support that will focus on leadership training, the college transition, and career development.


3. A pairing with a mentor for one year; the mentor being a female executive who attended the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit.

Eligibility

  • GPA: 3.5
  • Citizenship: United States
  • Grade Level: H.S. Senior

Selection Criteria

Applicants meeting the following criteria are encouraged to apply:


  • Be enrolled as a high school senior female student (traditional or homeschooled), progressing normally toward graduation or completion of high school at the end of the 2023-2024 school year, and planning to enroll in a 4-year undergraduate program at a college or university no later than the 2024 fall semester following the completion of high school.


  • The intent to major in a business or a STEM track.


  • Provide a statement of financial need in the essay section of the applicant’s application (household income NOT to exceed $75,000 per year).


  • Be a citizen of the United States or be a U.S. lawful permanent resident.


  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher.


  • Demonstrate exceptional academic and leadership ability.


  • Exhibit strong community involvement.


  • Provide a letter of recommendation from a community or school organization to be attached to the applicant’s application for review. This person must speak to your character and leadership ability.


  • The applicant must also provide a copy of their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application or Student Aid Report (SAR) as part of the Federal Pell Grant Program or University financial aid application form or a reward letter to either program.


  • Available to participate in the Virtual KPMG Future Leaders retreat focusing on leadership training and the college transition.


Note: Students whose tuition fees are already paid in full by any sponsoring agency, employment, or government program are not eligible. Under NCAA rules, students whose tuition is paid for in full with an athletic scholarship are not eligible.



SELECTION PROCESS


1. A Selection Committee independent of KPMG will review and make all application decisions. Please note that KPMG does not have access or a role in the selection process.


2. Completed applications must be submitted by midnight, February 1, 2024. Students selected for the KPMG Future Leaders Program will be notified by Friday, April 12, 2024.


An incomplete or late application will not be considered. Please include the following with this submission to complete the application process:


1. Completed application form (Parts I –IV) with e-signature

*(Part IV: Essay Questions - Please note, ALL essay questions must be completed and ready to upload when completing the online application.)


2. Letter of recommendation from a community or school organization.


3. A copy of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application or Student Aid Report (SAR) as part of the Federal Pell Grant Program or University financial aid application form or a reward letter to either program.
