2025 Paramount Education Partnership Scholarship

Description

Thank you for your interest in the PEP Scholarship. Our goal is to make education beyond high school financially accessible to all students in the City of Paramount. PEP is a collaborative effort between the City of Paramount, Paramount Unified School District, and the Paramount Chamber of Commerce.


We are proud to offer various scholarships: $1,000 for students attending a community college; $3,000 for students attending a California State University, including vocational/trade/technical schools; and $4,000 to students attending a University of California or an accredited private university. Scholarship monies may only be used to pay tuition, fees, books and supplies for the 2025-2026 school year. In order to be eligible to receive a scholarship, you must complete and submit all requested material in this application by the deadline date.


If you are awarded the PEP Scholarship, you are required to cash your check; otherwise, you are at risk of forfeiting your award. Also, please understand that this money is awarded to you by the Paramount Education Partnership, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization.

Selection Process

• Must be a City of Paramount resident or Paramount Unified School District student

• Have a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) once you are awarded.

• Possess a total weighted GPA of at least 2.0 (Students who have a lower GPA are encouraged to apply for the Community College Scholarship, if they can demonstrate academic improvement two consecutive years.

• If selected, you will be required to submit proof of enrollment.

• Include a full copy of FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR)

• Scholarship intended for students working on a Certificate and/or AA and first Bachelor’s Degree.

The Paramount Education Partnership (PEP) awards annual college scholarships to local students attending a two- or four-year college or technical school through the generous donations of local businesses and individuals in the community.


The amounts range from $1,000 to $4,000. Selection of the recipients is based on academics, an essay, outside activities, future goals, and economic need.
