2026 First Tee of Greater Washington DC Game Improvement Grant
Description
The purpose of the Game Improvement Grant is to provide financial assistance to junior golfers from First Tee – Greater Washington, DC who want to improve their game but whose opportunities are limited by financial constraints. The program will reimburse players up to $500 for expenses incurred while improving their game.
If you have multiple participants, you must complete separate applications.
Qualifications
To be eligible the applicant must:
Be between the ages of 10-18
Be an active participant with First Tee – Greater Washington, DC in 2026 and have participated in at least ONE Session in the previous calendar year.
Complete the entire application, including the narrative portion, explaining why he or she should receive this grant.
Be able to provide receipts for the expenses for which they would like to be reimbursed. Complete the application in its entirety on or before the deadline
All candidates who meet the above requirements are eligible to apply. Recipients will be selected by the First Tee – Greater Washington, DC Game Improvement Grant Committee. Grant recipients will be selected and notified by the Committee.
Selection Process

Grant recipients will be selected by the First Tee – Greater Washington, DC.
Receipts for expenses must be provided to receive reimbursement
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Involvement with First Tee – Greater Washington, DC will be considered.
Expenses incurred by grantees for reimbursement from grant funds may be submitted for reimbursement at the grantee’s discretion.
The FTGWDC reserves the right to withhold funding for a grant recipient in certain circumstances, such as unbecoming conduct or withdrawal from an event without a valid reason.

Private Lesson Fees
Golf Camp Registration Fee (does not include any First Tee – Greater Washington, DC camps or classes)
Golf clubs (individual clubs or sets)
Club Fittings

Tournament Entry Fees
First Tee Classes, Camps or Events
Travel to any of the covered expenses
Golf Apparel
