2026 Higher Education Scholarship Program

Introduction

Peak's charitable foundation is excited to offer 48 higher education scholarships to members of the credit union who plan on attending an institution of higher learning in the Fall of 2026.  The application period opens February 1st and runs through March 15th, 2026. 

Description

Not only are we offering 44 $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors AND continuing education students, but we also have four specialty legacy scholarships for members of Peak Credit Union. Students are eligible to apply, and can re-apply yearly to potentially receive a scholarship every year of their continuing education post high school. We'll begin accepting applications on February 1st. The application deadline is March 15, 2026. 

Legacy Scholarships

Larry Levine Scholarship - $3,500

              Awardee must be a Douglas County Resident in Oregon, attending Umpqua College.

Dewey Noblitt Scholarship - $2,000

              Awardee must be a graduating senior from Olympia High School.

Jack Jutte Scholarship - $2,000

              Awardee must be a graduating senior from Tenino High School.

JoAnne Sanford Vocational School - $2,000

              Awardee must be enrolled in a vocational school, or a trade program at a community college.

Selection Process

The following requirements must be met in order for the application to be considered. If the application is not completed in its entirety, it will be determined ineligible.

Scholarships will be awarded to recipients in May and June.

  • Applicant must be a member in good standing with Peak Credit Union.

  • All application questions must be answered completely. Please provide an explanation if the question is not applicable.

  • Applicant must attach proof of enrollment in an institution of higher education, in the form of a copy of an acceptance letter or registration documentation.

  • Applicant must attach a copy of their most recent transcript, in the form of a high school transcript or higher education transcript (unofficial is acceptable).

  • Applicant must also include a letter of recommendation from a non-family member.

Earn Extra Credit!

Applicants may earn one additional point in the scoring process by completing a financial course of your choice through MoneyEDU.

To receive a course completion certificate, you must achieve a score of 80% or higher on the module. (Course completion code is displayed at the end of the course).

For returning applicants: You do not need to register again; simply log in with your previously created credentials. After completing the course, you must document the course completion code provided at the end of the module. Please note: This course completion code is required to receive the extra credit in the scholarship application scoring.

Please note: These scholarships are not available to the PeakCU Foundation board members or their immediate family members. Additionally, these scholarships are not available to members of Peak Credit Union's executive leadership team, Board of Directors, or Supervisory Committee, or their immediate family members.
