Description

This scholarship honors the memory of Mary Alice Daly by supporting the education of nurse aides, who are the backbone of health care and provide essential care to those who need it most. Inspired by Mary Alice’s lifelong commitment to serving others, this scholarship recognizes and encourages individuals pursuing a career as a nurse aide while investing in the future of long-term care. 
NHCF offers five (5) $500 Aspiring Nurse Aide Scholarships per quarter.

Selection Process

Persons eligible to apply for a scholarship must:
Be at least 18 years of age or older. 
Be able to attend Nebraska Health Care Learning Center’s Nurse Aide Training within six months of receiving the scholarship. 
Pledge that, upon successful completion of the course, they practice their skills in a nursing facility or assisted living community for at least one year. 
Preference will not be given to applicants who are currently employed by a nursing home or assisted living facility. 
An individual may receive only one NHCF Nurse Aide Scholarship. Recipients of the NHCF Aspiring Nurse Aide Scholarship or the NHCF Nurse Aide Scholarship are not eligible to receive the other scholarship.
