Our scholarship program is more than just financial assistance; it is a beacon of hope and a stepping-stone to a brighter future. Since 2019, the Blaze Credit Union Foundation has awarded over $291,000 in scholarships.
In 2026, we have committed to awarding $200,000 in scholarships, as we are eager to invest in the future of our scholars, helping them ignite their potential and achieve academic success.
We encourage all eligible students to apply and take a step closer to realizing their dreams.

Scholarship Program Breakdown:
Blaze CU High School Branch Scholarships: Empowering Local Dreams
8 Scholarship Awards, 2 per school branch, $2500 each
Needs-Based Scholarships: Supporting Academic Aspirations - Open to all students regardless of membership status
48 Scholarship Awards, $2,500 each
Member-exclusive Scholarships: Valuing Our Blaze Family - Must Be a Member of Blaze
24 Total Scholarship Awards, $2,500 each
12 Traditional
12 Non-Traditional
Qualifications
Traditional: A current high school student graduating in 2026.
Non-Traditional: A student who is either continuing or returning to higher-education endeavors.
Awardees cannot be a recipient of more than one scholarship from the Blaze Credit Union Foundation during the same school year.
Winners must be enrolled, accepted, or planning to attend a post-secondary accredited school during the 2026-2027 school year (2-year, 4-year, trade school, vocational school, graduate programs, etc.).
Please note that any use of artificial intelligence (A.I.) to answer any questions on this application is not permitted. Plagiarism is also no permitted. Each application will be checked for A.I. and plagiarism, and if either are found, your application could be immediately removed from consideration.
There will be a one-year expiration date on all scholarships.
Scholarships will be paid out directly to the student’s school, and can be used for payment of tuition, books, and fees.
Selection Process
To eliminate bias, all applicants’ names will be omitted from the selection process.
The applicant must not use his or her name, nor the names of any family members, in either the essay, community involvement response, or anywhere else except the First Name and Last Name fields.
Applicants will be evaluated by a committee based on the following:
Letter of Recommendation (30%)
Community Involvement (35%): Notable accomplishments, professional or community affiliations, extra-curricular activities, awards, and community/volunteer involvement
Essay (35%): 2024 Scholarship Essay Question: Describe a financial challenge you or your family has faced and how it shaped the way you think about money today.
