Broadview 2026 Educator Grant

At Broadview Federal Credit Union, we believe in the power of education to transform lives and strengthen communities. To support educators who inspire learning every day, Broadview will award 50 Educator Grants of $500 each to help teachers bring meaningful, engaging experiences to their students.

The Educator Grant Program invests in innovative educational opportunities that enhance learning, encourage creativity, and provide resources that benefit students throughout Broadview's membership footprint.

Educator Grant

Please complete the following application in full, with attention to the required fields.  

Educator Grants are valued at $500 and can be used for:

• Curriculum enhancement

• Experiential learning opportunities

• Hands-on learning experiences

• Classroom materials, supplies, technology, or equipment that support ongoing instruction and student enrichment

Grants will not be awarded for the following:

• Professional conference, workshop, or competition registration fees

• Travel expenses, including field trips

• Promotional or branded items (t-shirts, giveaways, etc.)

• Personal expenses or personal purchases

• Any use inconsistent with the educational purpose of the program, fees or travel associated with professional conferences, workshops, or competitions

APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY

 Applicants must:

• Be a K–12 classroom teacher or special area teacher employed by a public, private, charter, home-school, or BOCES program located within Broadview's membership footprint (Capital Region, Buffalo, Syracuse, or Binghamton) during the 2026–2027 school year.

• Be a Broadview Federal Credit Union member in good standing at both the time of application and award determination, as defined by Broadview's Membership Agreements, Member Benefits Guidelines, and applicable Credit Union policies.

• Meet all additional eligibility requirements established by Broadview.

Multiple educators from the same school may apply and will each be considered independently.

Applicants may be required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest, including whether they:

• Are current Broadview employees;

• Are immediate family members of Broadview employees; or

• Have another relationship with Broadview that could create an actual or perceived conflict of interest.

Broadview will determine whether any disclosed relationships require additional review or affect eligibility.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Applications must be completed in full to be considered.

Eligible applications will be evaluated using a standardized scoring rubric designed to ensure fairness, consistency, and transparency. Evaluation categories may include:

• Educational impact

• Innovation and creativity

• Classroom-wide impact

• Measurable outcomes

• Feasibility and implementation

A panel of Broadview employees will review applications anonymously.

To support an impartial review process:

• Applicants identifying information will be removed before evaluation.

• Review committee members must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest before participating.

• Any reviewer with a conflict of interest will be recused from evaluating the affected application.

• Employees with a personal relationship to an applicant must disclose the relationship and are prohibited from participating in the review, scoring, discussion, recommendation, or selection of that application.

Grant recipients will be selected solely on program criteria and without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, New York State, or local law.

Fifty educators will be selected to receive a $500 Educator Grant. Winners will be contacted the week of October 26, 2026.

RESERVATION OF RIGHTS

Broadview reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any application that:

• Is incomplete;

• Contains inaccurate, misleading, or false information;

• Does not satisfy eligibility requirements;

• Is inconsistent with the objectives of the program; or

Otherwise fails to comply with applicable law, regulations, or Broadview policies.

Broadview also reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the program at any time.

FINALITY OF DECISIONS

All grant decisions are final and are not subject to appeal, reconsideration, or further review.

GRANT PAYMENT

• Grant payments will be issued in the form of a gift card directly to the winner and awarded through branch pickup.

• Broadview reserves the right to request documentation supporting the use of grant funds. Failure to provide requested documentation may impact eligibility for future grant opportunities.

TAX CONSIDERATIONS

Recipients are responsible for complying with any applicable tax obligations associated with receiving grant funds.

PUBLICITY AUTHORIZATION

By accepting an Educator Grant, recipients may be asked to authorize Broadview to use their name, school, photograph, video, likeness, statements, and grant project information for marketing, promotional, educational, and public relations purposes without additional compensation, subject to applicable law.
