2025 Workforce Readiness Scholarship Presented by Dixie

Leaders Education Foundation, in partnership with Dixie®, is awarding ten scholarships (per term) of up to $1,000 each to support students enrolled in approved Workforce Readiness (industry) Certificate programs. These programs are offered at West Tennessee Community Colleges (JSCC, DSCC, and Southwest TN CC), the West Tennessee locations of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology and the William R. Moore College of Technology (Moore Tech) listed below:


Jackson State Community College Certificates or Career Ready Degrees- Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Programs

Dyersburg State Community College Certificates or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Programs

Southwest Tennessee Community College Technical Certificate or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Programs

Tennessee College of Applied Technology- Jackson, McKenzie, Memphis, Northwest (Newbern), Paris, and Crump, TN.

William R. Moore College of Technology (Moore Tech), Memphis, TN: Educational Programs.


Eligibility

The applicant must be a member of Leaders Education Foundation. If an applicant is not a member of Leaders Education Foundation, the easiest way to become a member is to visit www.leadersgives.org and select “Give.” A one-time donation of $10 is all it takes to be a member of Leaders Education Foundation. Your one-time membership donation allows us to expand our grants and scholarships to even more students in West Tennessee.


The scholarship funds can be used for tuition, purchasing associated supplies, books or materials, testing fees or other related costs associated with the program or certification. Applicants should upload a copy of the course registration for the summer, fall or winter term and explain how the funds will be used to impact their education.


Leaders Education Foundation’s Workforce Readiness Scholarships presented by Dixie® supports West Tennessee students who are enrolled in a workforce development program or are pursuing industry certifications through West Tennessee community colleges, the Tennessee College of Applied Technology or the William R. Moore College of Technology (Moore Tech). Leaders Education Foundation is dedicated to providing education and career development opportunities to individuals in need, and with Dixie’s® support, the Foundation is able to double the number of scholarships, reach more individuals and make a greater impact.


Dixie® is the presenting sponsor of the Workforce Readiness Scholarships through Leaders Education Foundation. Through this sponsorship, Georgia-Pacific further showcases its commitment to workforce development and education, aligning with the company’s values of investing in its communities and supporting the growth and success of individuals.


Selection Process

  1. Be a member of Leaders Education Foundation. If you are not a member, the easiest way to become a member is to select "Give" on our website. A one-time membership donation of $10 is all it takes to be a member. If you're already a foundation member, no further action is needed.
  2. Complete the application and explain how the funds will be used to impact your education.
  3. Upload a copy of the course registration for the upcoming semester or term.
  4. Download, complete and sign the IRS W-9 form provided in the application. Upload the signed W-9 form. The IRS W-9 form must be uploaded in the application for consideration. 


Up to ten workforce readiness scholarship recipients will be selected during each application period. Applicants will be notified first by the email address supplied in the application and then via text message or phone call if necessary.


Scholarship checks will be mailed within 2 weeks of the application closing date.
