Dr. Edward L. Kelly Scholarship 2026
Description
SPARK, the Education Foundation for Prince William County Public Schools, has established an annual scholarship award in the amount of at $1,500 to be provided to at least three (3) graduating high school seniors who intend to pursue studies to enter the teaching profession.
Qualifications
The applicant must be a graduating senior attending a Prince William County Public High School who plans to further his/her education by enrolling in an accredited community college or four-year college or university.
The applicant must have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA during his/her high school career and provide a high school transcript including first semester grades for his/her senior year.
Selection Process
The applicant must answer two essay questions about his/her commitment to education and teaching.
The applicant must demonstrate leadership and commitment to the school and community through involvement in school and community activities. The applicant may include information on paid work experience.
The applicant must submit a recommendation from one educator.
