Excelencia Scholarship for Future Educators 2025
Introduction
CREEED’s Excelencia Scholarship for Future Educators was created to support and empower future educators in the El Paso region. Through this scholarship, CREEED hopes to make a meaningful contribution to the development of passionate and dedicated educators who will shape the future of our community.
Eight El Paso area high school seniors will be selected annually. This is a one-time award of $2,500 and is not subject to renewal. To be considered for the Excelencia Scholarship for Future Educators College Scholarship, high school seniors can self-nominate by submitting a complete application, including all requested forms.
Description
Scholarships are open to any El Paso area graduating high school senior who will be pursuing a degree in education. Scholarship awards are limited to cover tuition and fees and will be paid directly to the educational institution in the student's name.
Qualifications
Scholarship Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Candidate must be a graduating senior from the El Paso, Texas region.
2. Candidate must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
3. Candidate must be committed to attending a 4-year College/University in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree with: a. a declared major in Education; b. or a major in the discipline they intend to teach with a minor/concentration in Education
4. Candidate must be between the ages of 17-20 at the time of graduation from an El Paso regional high school.
Responsibilities of Scholarship Recipients:
● Participate in any scholarship-related events or activities.
● Provide updates on educational and career goals.
All applications and supporting documents must be received no later than March 27, 2025– no exceptions. Please advise your references and any high school registrar of this deadline for submission of transcripts and other supporting documents.

Selection Process
A selection committee will review and score all submitted applications, and scholarship recipients will be announced in May of each year.
The scholarship recipients will be notified the weeks of May 12th - 19th, 2025.
