Students for Healthcare Equity Scholarship 2025

GoodRx Helps is committed to supporting a healthcare workforce that reflects the increasingly multicultural U.S. population. The 2025 Students for Healthcare Equity Scholarship provides financial aid to rising health equity advocates from underrepresented groups. This scholarship is open to self-identifying underrepresented students from all patient-facing career paths.

The top five applicants who demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to addressing disparities in healthcare will be awarded $5,000 each. These scholarship awards can be renewed annually for up to three years for a potential award amount of $20,000 over four years. Eligibility for this scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in a healthcare or allied healthcare program at an accredited higher-education institution (including vocational school, community college, and/or four-year university), ending in a license or certification. 

Eligibility:

• Be enrolled in a healthcare or allied healthcare program at an accredited higher-education institution (such as a vocational school, community college, or four-year university), ending in a license or certification.

• Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

• Self-identify as a person from an underrepresented group in the healthcare field.

Selection Criteria & Priorities 

• Innovative and introspective idea(s) in written or video essay form

• Academic merit (minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0)

• Work experience (not required but bonus)

Awards are renewable annually for up to three years for a total potential amount of $20,000. Students must be in good standing to be eligible for renewal. To determine eligibility for renewal, GoodRx Helps will ask winners for their transcripts before the next school year begins.

Content commitment

This scholarship is intended to support students who are interested in sharing their academic and professional journeys with the GoodRx Helps social media channels and audiences. Winners will be required to attend occasional check-ins with GoodRx Helps twice a year and submit short videos and/or written responses relevant to the impact of the scholarship on their academic endeavors. Adherence to this content commitment is a requirement to be eligible for subsequent scholarship award renewals.
