KSF Technology Grant Application
Introduction
What is a KSF Tech Grant?
A tech grant is a free, in-kind grant that pays for scholarship and grant management services (platform access, configuration, onboarding, and core support) for a defined period. It does not provide award dollars for scholarships.
Grant recipients receive access to KSF's scholarship management services. To deliver these services, KSF licenses technology infrastructure from Kaleidoscope PBC at established market rates under an arms-length agreement. Grantees contract with KSF, not with any technology provider. KSF's grant decisions are made independently and create no obligation or benefit to technology providers.
Description
What the Grant Includes
Technology Grant recipients receive:
Full platform access for scholarship/grant program management
Initial configuration and program setup support
Onboarding and training for your team
Core technical support for the grant term
Access to KSF's selection committee, disbursement, and/or additional services (optional)
What the Grant does not include:
Cash for scholarship awards (this is an in-kind services grant)
Custom development or integrations
Dedicated account management beyond standard support
Funding Acknowledgement
Technology Grants are made possible by charitable donations to Kaleidoscope Scholarship Fund. Grant availability, timing, and scope depend on donor support and are not guaranteed. KSF reviews applications on a rolling basis and awards grants as funding permits.

Independence
KSF maintains complete independence in all grant decisions. Grantees receive services from KSF - technology providers receive only their contracted licensing fees and have no vote, influence, or advance knowledge of grant decisions.
Qualifications
All scholarship purposes are welcome. We fund programs supporting academic achievement, career pathways, arts, first-generation students, memorial recognition, and more.
Selection Process
How We Evaluate Applications
We review applications on three dimensions:
1. Mission Clarity
Can you articulate who you serve and what outcomes you're driving toward?
2. Implementation Readiness
Do you have an internal owner and a realistic timeline to launch?
3. Multiplier Potential
What will you do with the capacity this frees up? We're not selecting for need alone - we're looking for organizations that can articulate their growth path and increase impact.
Kaleidoscope Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to expanding access to educational opportunity. Through our Technology Grant program, KSF provides in-kind grants to mission-driven organizations, enabling them to implement modern scholarship management without the cost barriers that often prevent organizations from scaling their impact.
