NEMRA Scholarship Application 2026-2027

Introduction

The National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA) established the NEMRA Educational Scholarship Program to support the post-secondary education goals of employees and children of NEMRA Representative and Manufacturer Member firms. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below at the time of their application submission.

Description

Up to 29 scholarships will be awarded annually. Award amounts range from $1,000-$3,000.

With the exception of the Rouzer Award, scholarships are not automatically renewable, but eligible students are encouraged to reapply each year.

Awarded scholarships are for undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and trade school programs. Awards may be used to pay for tuition, book, lab fees, or other education-related expenses. Scholarships will be awarded via checks issued in $USD currency.

NEMRA reserves the right to alter or discontinue the NEMRA Educational Foundation at any time.

Qualifications

Applicants to the NEMRA Educational Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria at the time of submission of the scholarship application:

  • Be age 28 or younger;

  • Be a high school senior or high school graduate (or the equivalent), current post-secondary undergraduate or graduate-level student;

  • Be enrolled or plans to enroll in full-time undergraduate, graduate or doctoral study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, vocational-technical school or graduate school for the entire upcoming academic year;

For all scholarships, preference will be given to those applicants with a connection to a NEMRA member company and who are pursuing post-secondary education in a discipline which targets a career in the Electrical industry, such as Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technologist, Electrical Technician, Industrial Distribution, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Management Operations, Logistics and Information Technology.

Children of employees of NEMRA are ineligible to apply. NEMRA reserves the right to request verification of any information submitted by an applicant. All selected students will be asked to provide both an official transcript and proof of 2026/2027 school enrollment prior to the scholarship being confirmed and awarded. Selected students must provide permission for promotion of their name and scholarship in NEMRA’s media and marketing materials. All decisions are final and not eligible for appeal.
