Neil Isbin Scholarship 2026
Introduction
The Neil Isbin Scholarship was established by Herb and Kathie Isbin in loving memory of their son, Neil Isbin, whose life was defined by an unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and human dignity.
Neil was a lifelong human rights activist who worked tirelessly to advance gay and lesbian rights, affordable health care for all New Mexicans, tax fairness for working families, and collective bargaining rights for public employees. His advocacy reflected a deep belief in fairness, compassion, and the power of individuals to create meaningful change in their communities.
Description
Awarded annually, the Neil Isbin Scholarship provides $1,000 toward college tuition to students whose values and aspirations reflect Neil’s legacy of service and social responsibility. Typically, two scholarships are awarded each year. The scholarship is administered by the Jewish Community Foundation of New Mexico (JCFNM).
