Introduction
The Rock Island-Milan Education Foundation is the single largest provider of scholarships to Rock Island High School students only. We have issued nearly $2 million in scholarships to our very deserving Rock Island High School seniors!

There are 55 Named Scholarships with over 80 separate scholarship opportunities available with the completion of this one application. Some require a specific type of essay or a letter of recommendation from a specific teacher or coach. Please check the criteria listed in the application. Last year, a record $180,700 was awarded through 96 scholarships to the Class of 2025 at the Austin Academic Achievement Awards and RIMEF Scholarship Night. With an increase to award amounts for some scholarships, the RIMEF will be awarding even more to the Class of 2026!

The Class of 2026 Austin Academic Achievement Awards and RIMEF Scholarship Night will be held on May 14, 2026.
Qualifications
You must be a senior at Rock Island High School and be able to walk with your class at Rock Island High School's graduation ceremony in 2026. You may qualify as an early graduating senior in December or at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
Selection Process
All scholarhip applications must be complete to be considered for any scholaship. Once the application deadline has passed, applications are reviewed by the RIMEF has a Scholarship Committee consisting of members of the RIMEF Board of Directors, educators, and alumni. Some scholarships may have input from benefactors but final decisions on all scholarships rest with the RIMEF Scholarship Committee. Award decisions are made in late April and invitations to seniors receiving scholarships are sent by May 1.
