2026 Society of Women Engineers Collegiate/Graduate Scholars Application

Introduction

The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students studying at community college, baccalaureate, or graduate programs in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and fields related to engineering. In 2025, SWE awarded over 330 new and renewed scholarships valued at over $1,500,000!

Description

All SWE Scholarship applicants (not including India scholarship applicants) must be planning to attend a school with ABET-accredited programs. Undergraduate and community college applicants must be planning to study an ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year. Masters and PhD candidates must be enrolled or accepted at a school with ABET-accredited programs in engineering, computing, or technology.

SWE Collegiate/Graduate Scholars: The application for the 2026-2027 academic year opens December 1, 2025 and closes February 2, 2026. All application materials and recommendation letter are due by February 2nd.

Note all deadlines are 5:00 p.m. central time. There will be no exceptions to the deadlines.

SWE provides one application for sophomores through graduate students, one application for freshmen, and one application for students in India. Applicants complete an application and are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.

SWE's Scholarship Program is open to both SWE members and non-members; however, some of the scholarships do require SWE membership. Read about the benefits of SWE membership.
