SWE Scholarship Application Open/Close Dates

Exact opening and deadline dates will be released in the fall.

• SWE Collegiate/Graduate Scholars: Early December – End of January

• SWE Emerging First Year Scholars: Early February – End of March

• SWE India Scholars: Early February – End of March

About SWE Scholarships

SWE Scholarships provide financial support to students pursuing degrees in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science. With one application, you are considered for all scholarships within that program for which you are eligible.

Eligibility Overview

• Collegiate/Graduate & Emerging First Year Applicants:

  • Applicants must be planning to enroll in, or currently enrolled in, an ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology, or computer science (check if your program is ABET-accredited here).

    • If your program does not appear in the ABET search, it is not eligible for a SWE scholarship.

  • Master’s and PhD students are eligible if their institution offers ABET-accredited undergraduate programs in these fields.

• India Scholars Applicants:

  • Applicants must be pursuing studies in programs accredited by India’s National Board of Accreditation or at universities where a SWE Global Affiliate is active (see the list of eligible programs here).
