SWE Collegiate/Graduate Scholars Application for the 2026-2027 Academic Year: early December 2025 - end of January 2026
SWE Emerging First Year Scholars Application for the 2026-2027 Academic Year: early February 2026 - end of March 2026
SWE India Scholars Application for the 2026-2027 Academic Year: early February 2026 - end of March 2026
Collegiate/Graduate and Emerging First Year Scholarships are typically awarded beginning in May (sophomore, junior, senior and graduate students) and July (freshmen students) for use during the upcoming academic year. The awarding process is typically concluded by the end of August and all applicants will be notified whether or not they are selected for a scholarship. Scholarship payments are made in September.
India Scholarships are typically awarded in July for use during the upcoming academic year. Scholarship payments are made in September.
All SWE Scholarship applicants (not including India Scholars applicants) must be planning to attend a school with ABET-accredited programs. Undergraduate and community college applicants must be planning to study an ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year. Masters and PhD candidates must be enrolled or accepted at a school with ABET-accredited programs in engineering, computing, or technology.
