SWE scholarship application reviewers play an important role in supporting students pursuing degrees in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science. Reviewers evaluate applications based on established criteria and contribute to a fair and thoughtful selection process that recognizes academic achievement, leadership, and potential.

This form is not a commitment to serve but allows SWE to identify and communicate with potential reviewers.

Programs and Dates

  • Collegiate/Graduate Scholars – Supports undergraduate and graduate students.

    • Sign-ups Open: December 1 – January 31

    • Review Period: February

  • Emerging First Year Scholars – Supports incoming college freshmen. 

    • Sign-ups Open: February 8 – March 31

    • Review Period: April

  • India Scholars – Supports undergraduate and graduate students studying in India.

    • Sign-ups Open: February 8 – March 31

    • Review Period: April

What to Expect
Reviewers will receive additional information about timelines, training, scoring criteria, and accessing the review platform.

Qualifications

Eligibility Requirements
To serve as a SWE scholarship reviewer, individuals must:

  • Be a current paid SWE professional member

  • Be available during the assigned review period

  • India Scholars application: Reside in India or have in-depth knowledge of the Indian education system
