Sol Systems Scholarship - May 2026 GED and Non-Traditional Student
Introduction
This scholarship is established by Sol Systems, LLC (via its affiliate Sol Systems CIF, LLC) as a part of its mission to create meaningful impact in communities through its solar infrastructure. Sol Systems develops, owns and operates domestic clean energy infrastructure that benefit local communities. Through its work, Sol Systems aims to build community partnerships and collaborate with organizations where its solar projects are located to enable economic empowerment, opportunity, and community development.
Description
Through bi-annual awards made in the Spring and Fall, this Fund will provide scholarships for graduating high school seniors, current students at 2-4 year colleges, universities, vocational and/or technical institutions, and non-traditional students who are residents of the 17 southernmost counties of southern Illinois.
Qualifications
While academic interests are considered in the review process, scholarship awards will prioritize applicants with demonstrated financial need. In addition, the scholarship fund aims to encourage students pursuing education and training in fields such as:
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
- Agriculture
- Ecology and Environmental Science
- Sustainability and Renewable Energy
- Energy Efficiency
- Related technical fields or trades
Students in these fields are especially encouraged to apply, though all fields of study will be considered.
