2026 Spectrum Scholars Program

Introduction

Imagine the unlimited opportunities you can be exposed to by being part of a Fortune 100 company. Spectrum Scholars provides more than just financial support. As part of the award-winning program, you have a network of peers who share your drive and a community of mentors invested in your success, helping you grow both personally and professionally.

Description

Program Components:

  • Scholarship: Scholars will receive $20,000 ($10,000 will be disbursed at the beginning of your junior year and $10,000 will be disbursed at the beginning of your senior year).

  • Internship: Scholars are guaranteed a 10-week paid summer internship opportunity.

  • Professional Development: Scholars will be provided with a structured engagement strategy that includes skills and career-readiness training and telecommunications industry education.

  • Mentorship: Scholars will be assigned a Spectrum employee mentor to provide guidance throughout the program.

Qualifications

  • Be a rising college junior graduating May 2028 - August 2028 pursuing a Bachelor's degree.

  • Demonstrate financial need.

  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

  • Have authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Explore summer internship opportunities with Spectrum.

  • Must participate and successfully complete all program-related activities.

  • Reside within 50 miles of a Charter corporate office in Stamford, CT, Charlotte, NC, St. Louis, MO, Denver, CO, Austin, TX (school or residence).

Selection Process

What to expect and documents you will need when applying for the Spectrum Scholars Program:

Documents:

  • 2026 – 2027 FAFSA Form

  • 2026 – 2027 Financial Aid Award Letter

  • College Transcript

What to Expect:

  • Submit written essay

  • Record video introduction (2-3 minutes long).

Once the application window closes on April 3rd, eligible applications will go through a review process and a member of the scholars team will reach out to you to confirm eligibility requirements. This process usually takes a month to complete.
