Description

The VISIT DENVER Foundation provides scholarships designed to support undergraduate students pursuing associate's and bachelor’s degrees in hospitality or tourism at accredited universities or colleges in Colorado.
The VISIT DENVER Foundation's goal is to promote the travel and tourism industry in the Denver metro area through activities and projects that enhance education, professional development and training for individuals interested in the hospitality industry.

Selection Process

The VISIT DENVER Foundation Scholarship is meant for incoming freshmen or returning students at an accredited university, college or community college in Colorado who are majoring in Hospitality or Tourism. This scholarship is not available for graduate students and is open only to full-time undergraduate students. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States upon graduation.
 
Applicants should maintain good academic standing (2.0+ cumulative GPA).

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
An official copy of your high school or college transcripts
One recommendation letter from a high school teacher or university professor
Documentation of enrollment acceptance (2025/2026 transcripts, schedule, acceptance letter, etc.)
Resume including extra-curricular and community service activities
One page typed essay explaining the following: 
What led you to pursue a career in the hospitality & tourism industry?
What are your career aspirations? 
How have you demonstrated tenacity in achieving your goals?

Award Amount: $500.00 - $5,000.00

To achieve this goal, the VISIT DENVER Foundation provides scholarships designed to support undergraduate students pursuing associate's and bachelor’s degrees in hospitality or tourism at accredited universities or colleges in Colorado.

Since its inception, the VISIT DENVER Foundation has awarded more than $1.6 million in scholarships, impacting the lives of 577 students who are now beginning careers in some aspect of the travel & tourism industry.
