WA CPA Foundation Associate Accounting Scholarship 2026
Introduction
The Washington CPA Foundation is excited to be able to offer over 20 $2000 scholarships for Washington state students interested in a career in accounting. If you are a current high school senior or are enrolling in a 2-year/community/junior college in Fall 2026, have a 2.5 GPA and above (or equivalent)– please apply! Recipients will be invited and encouraged to join an online series during their scholarship term to explore various accounting career pathways and resources.

Start your application now and log back in to update it as often as you want through the application deadline of April 14, 2026, at 11:59 PM PT. Remember: obtaining a recommendation can take extra time, so start early to give your reference plenty of notice.

Application Requirements:
Community engagement which could include jobs, internships (paid or unpaid), volunteer positions, and/or leadership roles on campus or in the community
Transcripts (official or unofficial from all colleges attended, or high school if applying as a current high school senior)
3 short essays (500 words or less - prompts found in the application)
Email address or contact information for one reference. Reference may be an educator, employer, CPA, volunteer coordinator, mentor, etc. (no family/friends)
Qualifications
CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS or STUDENTS ENTERING A 2-YEAR/COMMUNITY/JUNIOR COLLEGE IN FALL 2026

must be enrolled or enrolling in a Washington state school in Fall 2026
Planning on or considering majoring in accounting or have an interest in becoming an accountant (may also be considering a related field (business, finance, economics, etc.)
GPA: 2.5
Be involved in on-campus, off-campus, or community activities and/or hold a job
Selection Process
Applications reviewed and scored by a panel of CPAs and accounting students and professionals during April and May. Applicants will be notified of the Washington CPA Foundation's decisions in late May 2026. Scholarship awards will be mailed to schools in late July / early August 2026.
