Selection Process

How we evaluate your application

Applications are evaluated holistically using human review, automated or AI-assisted evaluation tools, or a combination of these methods. AI-assisted tools will not serve as the sole basis for final scholarship recipient selections. Our criteria include:

Passion

We want to know what drives you! Every passion has the potential to make a meaningful impact, whether it’s in food, dance, technology, art, or even supporting others. Tell us:

  • What your passion is and a specific moment that showed you why it matters to you.

  • One thing you did in the past 12 months to pursue your passion.

  • What you did and what you learned from that experience.

Community

We want to know about a community that matters to you! Tell us about an experience in that community that helped shape who you are. Share:

  • A specific experience you had in a community that matters to you.

  • How that experience changed the way you think, what you value, or who you are.

Impact

How have you turned your passion into action, or how do you hope to? We want to know who or what you've already helped or hope to make a difference for through your passion, education, or career. Show us:

  • Who or what you've helped or hope to help.

  • The change you've made or hope to make.

  • One step you've taken or can take to make that goal real.

Financial Need

For new applicants, financial need is also considered to help ensure awards reach those who would benefit most.

The Live Más Scholarship Program seeks to support young people who demonstrate a range of passions and goals. Final selections are holistic and may balance multiple factors across the applicant pool. See the Terms & Conditions for complete details and rules.
