Award Criteria

The Corvias Foundation Purple Tassel Scholarship is awarded based on the following criteria: 

  • Academic performance

  • Community Involvement

  • Financial need

Each of the aforementioned criteria will be based on the information provided within the online application. 

Selection Process

To be eligible for this award, you must:

  • Be the the dependent of an active-duty service member stationed at one of the following U.S. military installations at the time of application or application due date.

    • Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

    • Fort Bragg, North Carolina

    • Fort Meade, Maryland

    • Fort Polk, Louisiana

    • Fort Riley, Kansas

    • Fort Rucker, Alabama

    • Fort Sill, Oklahoma

  • Planning to attend a four-year college (for profit and proprietary schools upon review) as a first-year undergraduate for the 2026-2027 academic year.

In order to apply, you will need:

  • A copy of your (the applicant's) DD1173 Form (military ID) or equivalent to prove your dependent status

  • Most current Duty Station/PCS Orders for your active-duty parent

  • Your most recent high school transcript (does not need to be an official copy)

  • At least one and up to two letters of recommendation.

  • A detailed resume of all employment and activities
