The Joe Senser Memorial Scholarship is made possible through the generosity of the Senser family, The Lake Conference Network, and LiveBarn, with additional support from donors who believe in honoring Joe's legacy by investing in the next generation of Minnesota student-athletes. Contributions from individuals, organizations, and community partners help grow the award pool annually — ensuring that more students have the opportunity to carry Joe's story forward.
The Lake Conference Network Joe Senser Memorial Scholarship
Introduction
Joe Senser didn't have an easy start. He lost his father at age 11, and his mother — unable to care for five children on her own — sent him to the Milton Hershey School in Pennsylvania, 120 miles from home. It was a school for kids who had nowhere else to go.
Joe passed away in May 2026. But his family The Lake Conference Network, weren't ready to let that spirit go quiet.
This scholarship is for the kid Joe would have recognized. The one competing, contributing, and pushing through — not because it's easy, but because that's who they are.

Description
The Joe Senser "Lova Ya" Memorial Scholarship was established by the Senser family and the Lake Conference Network to honor a man who embodied resilience, community, and the belief that where you start doesn't determine where you finish.
This scholarship is awarded annually to Lake Conference student-athletes who have competed at the varsity level, demonstrated academic commitment, shown a spirit of service to their community, and — most importantly — have a story worth telling. Joe's life was defined by overcoming adversity. The students who receive this award will carry that same thread.
Award amounts and the number of recipients are determined annually based on funds raised. The Kaleidoscope Scholarship Fund (KSF) holds and administers all scholarship funds, with disbursements made directly to the recipient's enrolled institution.
