Description
Thank you for your interest in the 2026 WSIA Internship Program!
The WSIA Internship Program awards paid summer internships to undergraduate students enrolled in colleges in the U.S. who are interested in an insurance career. WSIA offers two internship tracks:
E&S Immersion Program:
Students who have completed coursework or who have work experience in risk management or insurance (25 positions open)
This nine-week opportunity is geared towards juniors and seniors (not graduating with a bachelor's degree before December 2026) who have coursework or work experience in Risk Management and/or Insurance. Interns spend time with two different host firms focused on the underwriting and brokerage experience and may also have some exposure to other roles and departments including claims, data analytics, accounting, operations, human resources and marketing.
E&S Exploration Program:
Students without any background or experience in risk management and insurance (15 positions open)
This internship is specifically for students completing their freshman, sophomore, or junior year before the internship (not graduating with a bachelor's degree before December 2026) and who do not have prior Risk Management & Insurance (RMI) coursework or work experience. All majors will be considered and benefit from this program. The internship/scholarship program is designed to influence meaningful progress in the depth of the industry's talent pipeline. Selected students work for nine weeks in either an underwriting or brokerage experience at one host firm. They will gain experience in various departments, learning from industry leaders.
