Blue Diamond Growers Foundation Scholarship 2025

The Blue Diamond Growers Foundation has been established for promising young students from California who plan to attend, or are attending, a university offering a four-year degree. Students transferring from a community or junior college to a four-year university program are also eligible.

Recipients of the Blue Diamond Growers Foundation Scholarship will be selected by the Scholarship Committee which has been appointed by the Board of Directors of the Blue Diamond Growers. Selection will be based solely on the student's application and personal recommendations.

• Scholastic achievement.

• Leadership qualities such as participation in 4-H, FFA, church, clubs, student government and civic organizations.

• Strong consideration will be given to applicants in the almond growing areas of California whom the committee believes will have an excellent chance of returning to a vocation in production agriculture, processing or marketing of agricultural products, or agricultural education.

To be considered:

• The student must be from an almond producing area of California and must have the intent to be a full-time student in a four-year university. Applicants must have a major in selected fields of agriculture including crop and plant sciences or related majors. *Please note, Animal related majors will not be considered.

• The requirement of California residence with focus in an agriculture-related vocation is waived for dependents of Blue Diamond team members.

• Candidates must anticipate high school graduation by Spring 2025 and should have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.3 during their high school career.

• Candidates currently enrolled in a four year university should also have achieved a 3.3 grade point average during their university enrollment.

Applications from previous award winners will not be accepted.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to assure that all information is complete and the application is submitted by the deadline of March 31, 2025.
