2026 Credit Union Movement Scholarship

Description

About the Scholarship: From its very beginning, Summit Credit Union and its founders, America's Credit Unions and TruStage, have shared history, success and commitment to create a powerful synergy to inspire the entire credit union movement. That same cooperative spirit extends to our partners in the credit union world: World Council of Credit Unions, Credit Union Executives Society and Filene Research Institute. This annual scholarship was established by Summit Credit Union in honor and celebration of our shared history. Two Credit Union Movement Scholarships Sponsored by Summit Credit Union will be awarded annually, the first place winner will receive $1,500; the second place winner will receive $1,000.

Application & Review Process: Applications must be received electronically by March 7, 2026. Judging by external credit union professionals will take place in March. All applicants will be notified of the status of their submission by phone or postal mail on or before April 30, 2026.

Decisions: Decisions of the judges and of Summit Credit Union are final. In the event there are not enough eligible entries, not all scholarships will be awarded. Receiving a scholarship is subject to validation and verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms and conditions of the scholarship program.

Award Process: Winners will receive an award check made out to the student and school the student will be attending in the upcoming semester. Scholarships are not redeemable for cash and are not transferable. Scholarship funds must be used by October 1, 2026 or the student forfeits the scholarship. Scholarship awards are paid out in US dollars.

Ownership: By applying for the Credit Union Movement Scholarship, the applicant agrees that Summit Credit Union will own all rights in and to your submission and may reproduce, modify, publish, distribute or publicly display this submission.
