2025 EWISP Scholarship Program

Description

We are pleased on your selection to apply for the Executive Women International (EWI) Scholarship. You are among the highest achieving 12th grade/seniors from across the United States participating in the program. EWI recognizes those students who want to attend college and this scholarship is based on academic performance and financial criteria. If awarded, this scholarship will cover a portion of the tuition and course-related expenses. It is very important that this application be completed as thoroughly and as quickly as possible in order to meet the deadlines set by the local Chapter.

 

EWI was founded in 1938 by Lucille J. Perkins to change the roles of women in business and the diverse careers held by our members. We are an international organization with 34 Chapters across the United States and Canada. EWI has been awarding scholarships for over 30 years and awards over $300,000 in scholarships each year through our Chapters and our Corporate Office.

Selection Process

High school seniors enrolled in a public, private, or parochial school located within the boundaries of a participating EWI Chapter- refer to list on ewiconnect.com, or students who are homeschooled, who:

  • Plan to pursue a degree at an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Have a demonstrated financial need
  • Have a minimum 3.00 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Have contributed to their community as demonstrated by their involvement in extracurricular activities, employment, civic or volunteer activities 

Selection of EWISP winners is based on a number of factors, with special emphasis on each individual’s character, personal merit, and background. Merit is demonstrated in a variety of ways: leadership in school, civic, and other extracurricular activities, academic achievement, and motivation to serve and succeed in all endeavors.

 

Selection Criteria includes the following:

  • Academic Performance

  • Community Service Hours
  • Extracurricular Activities and Work Hours
  • Awards/Honors
  • Essay
  • Letters of Recommendation

The following materials are required to be provided electronically by upload in the application. Please have these available when submitting your application:

  • FAFSA/TAFSA (https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa)
  • Student Transcripts - most current document is required
  • ACT/SAT Scores as applicable for applicant's future educational plans
  • Two (2) Personal Recommendations - the letters must be completed by two (2) individuals of the applicant's choice who is either a past or present employer, teacher, counselor, or other school administrator, or someone serving in a leadership/mentorship role for the applicant
  • Essay -minimum 500 words on one of the topics provided
