F.A.S.T Rising College Scholarship 2025
Introduction
The F.A.S.T. Rising College Scholarship was established in 2025 to support students in Fabens, Anthony, San Elizario and Tornillo. CREEED expanded our Sylvia Hopp San Elizario College Scholarship to encourage academic excellence and increase the number of students obtaining a post-secondary degree from our rural school districts.
Four El Paso area high school seniors will be selected annually, one from each of the four school districts. This is a one-time award of $2,500 and is not subject to renewal. To be considered for the F.A.S.T. Rising College Scholarship, high school seniors can self-nominate by submitting a complete application, including all requested forms. High school counselors are highly encouraged to submit all campus applications.
Description
Scholarships are open to any El Paso area graduating high school senior attending a free public high school in Fabens, Anthony, San Elizario or Tornillo independent school district. Scholarship awards are limited to cover tuition and fees and will be paid directly to the educational institution in the student's name.
Qualifications
Scholarship Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Candidate must be a graduating senior from one of the four named ISD’s in the El Paso, Texas region.
2. Candidate must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
3. Candidate must be committed to attending a 4-year College/University
4. Candidate must be between the ages of 17-20 at the time of graduation from an El Paso regional high school.
Responsibilities of Scholarship Recipients:
● Participate in any scholarship-related events or activities.
● Provide updates on educational and career goals.
All applications and supporting documents must be received no later than March 27, 2025– no exceptions. Please advise your references and any high school registrar of this deadline for submission of transcripts and other supporting documents.

Selection Process
A selection committee will review and score all submitted applications, and scholarship recipients will be announced in May of each year.
The scholarship recipients will be notified the weeks of May 12th - 19th, 2025.
