Hotel Employee Continuing Education Scholarship 2026

• The scholarship may be used for certifications, licensure, education and training such as in Microsoft Office, Heating & Air Conditioning, Pool, HR Certification, CHA, CHSP, CMP, etc.

• The scholarship awards are to be used by the recipients for education and/or related expenses.

• All scholarships awarded by the Hotel Association of North Texas are considered to be grants, not loans.

• Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

• A panel will review and rate the applications and scholarship awards will be based solely on these ratings. 

• Applicants will be notified of their status via e-mail. 

• Scholarship awardees will be invited to accept their award at the Hotel Association of North Texas’ Annual HOSPY Awards at the Hyatt Regency Dallas on November 20, 2025.

The Hotel Association of North Texas is pleased to offer the HANTX Hotel Employee Continuing Education Scholarship as an opportunity to provide employees of HANTX member hotels, continuing education assistance with certifications, licensure and training with tuition assistance and industry recognition.  

For an applicant to be eligible, they must:

• Be an employee of a HANTX Member Hotel in good standing. Please contact the office at 214-484-7060 if you have questions about your hotel's membership status.

• Complete the Online Application.

• Provide one letter of recommendation from your supervisor/manager.

Provide details on course(s) pre-training or post-training

• Pre Training:

• Provide details on course to be taken, course content, registration costs, proof of registration

• Provide a brief essay statement (500 words or less, or personal video or PowerPoint presentation) on what knowledge you hope to gain and how this course will help you in your current position.

  • Essay – 500 words or less

  • Personal Video – not more than 5 minutes

  • PowerPoint Presentation – saved in a PDF format

• Post Training (Course must have been completed within 12 months of September 1, 2023):

• Registration of course, certificate of completion and or transcripts as well as proof of payment. 

• Provide a brief essay (250 words or less, or personal video or PowerPoint presentation) on knowledge gained and how it has assisted you in your current position.

  • Essay – 250 words or less

  • Personal Video – not more than 5 minutes

  • PowerPoint Presentation – no more than 25 slides, saved in a PDF format
