Houser Scholarship 2025-2026
Description
The Houser scholarship programs recognize individuals who are community minded student-athletes.
Applicants should be energetic and confident examples of achievement through athletics in our community. Students must be enrolled at Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon. Students need to demonstrate a funding gap to attend their first choice school for this scholarship. They should participate in competitive athletics, have a minimum cumulative unweighted 3.0 GPA, plan to enroll full-time in the upcoming fall term and demonstrate leadership involvement in their school and community.
Candidates for the Houser Scholarship are evaluated, in part, based on their financial need. Applicants must demonstrate a funding gap, showing that the cost of attending their first-choice school (including tuition and expenses) exceeds their ability to pay, even when factoring in family support, college savings, scholarships, and grants. The selection committee places significant importance on school choice, recognizing its critical impact, particularly in terms of cost.
Students that do not attend Lincoln High School should click here for the Loprinzi application. The Loprinzi scholarship opportunity is available for high school seniors that attend one of the thirty program schools in the general Portland, Oregon area.
