CDGA | IWGA Julia Dodds Scholarship 2025
Introduction
The Illinois Women’s Golf Association (IWGA) established the Julia Dodds Junior Girls Scholarship Award in 1992 in honor of Mrs. Julia Dodds who was the first 50-year member of the IWGA.
New in 2024, the Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA) will be continuing the IWGA's charitable legacy by administering the scholarship program.
Description
The award is to assist girls who are pursuing an undergraduate college degree and who enjoy playing golf. The Dodds Award criteria for selection include Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Sportsmanship. The winner(s) will receive the $5000 award, which will be directed to their college choice to assist in their educational expenses.
Selection Process
- Female students who enjoy playing the game of golf
- Resident of Illinois
- Senior in high school
- Enrolled or plan to enroll in a full-time two or four-year degree program


As an Allied Golf Association of the USGA, the CDGA is the regional governing body of amateur golf for most of Illinois and parts of three other states. The CDGA serves more than 400 clubs and 112,000 individual public and private golfers within the Chicago District.
