Kathy Mock Nursing Quality Scholarship 2026

Nebraska Health Care Foundation (NHCF) supports those continuing their education in long-term care by awarding a variety of scholarships each year.

Kathy Mock’s unwavering dedication to those who work and live in Nebraska’s nursing homes and assisted living staff transcends business; she sees them as family and champions their safety and quality of care at every turn.

Inspired by her dedication, NHCF will award one (1) $10,000 Kathy Mock Nursing Quality Scholarship to an individual pursuing education to become a Registered Nurse (RN) – whether through an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing – or to a current RN advancing their education through a Master of Science in Nursing, with a commitment to practice in the long-term care profession or help build the nursing workforce by serving as a faculty member at a Nebraska school of nursing.

Applicant must be either employed in a Nebraska Nursing Facility Association/Nebraska Assisted Living Association (NNFA/NALA) member facility or the immediate relative of a NNFA/NALA employee. The status of the applicable NNFA or NALA membership must be in good standing.
