Lake Ridge Chorale “Raise Your Voice” Scholarship 2025

Description

The Lake Ridge Chorale Scholarship has been established to support two students who have participated in their school's choir, show choir, or musical theatre during their high school career.

One of the two scholarships will be reserved specifically for a graduating senior who plans to pursue a collegiate degree majoring in music including vocal or instrumental performance, musical theater performance, conducting, composing, or teaching. Students intending to focus on non-musical theater will be considered, but students who intend to study vocal music, instrumental music, or musical theater will be given priority.

Qualifications

Graduating PWCS High School seniors who participated at their school in choir, show choir, musical theatre during their high school career.   

Selection Process

  • The applicant must be a graduating senior attending a Prince William County Public High School who plans to further their education by enrolling in an accredited community college or four-year college or university.

  • The applicant must have maintained a minimum 2.8 GPA during their high school career and provide a high school transcript including first semester grades for their senior year.

  • The applicant must answer all short essay questions.

  • The applicant must demonstrate experience in one or more of their school's music programs.

  • The applicant must submit a recommendation from one educator, mentor, or employer.
