Description

The NRF Foundation is part of the National Retail Federation, the world’s largest retail trade association. The NRF Foundation provides access to the education and opportunities needed for successful retail careers, helping people build better lives and stronger communities.

Retail is the nation’s largest private-sector employer, contributing $5.3 trillion to annual GDP and supporting more than one in four U.S. jobs — 55 million working Americans. The industry continues to grow and evolve making retail a place where talent of all types and from all parts of the U.S. can start, build and accelerate a rewarding career.

The NRF Foundation Retail Training Fund provides organizations serving active job seekers with access to the NRF Foundation RISE Up training and credentialing program and capacity grants to support implementation to help prepare job seekers for roles in the retail industry, and beyond, by equipping job seekers with industry-recognized credentials.

Selected organizations will be required to collect and report on job training, job readiness, and job placement data for all participants. Reporting on participant success stories and employer partnerships is also required. The NRF Foundation will actively collect and curate participant success stories and employer partnership success stories throughout the program to share publicly through reports, social media, and other communication channels. These stories will highlight innovative collaborations, measurable outcomes, and individual and organizational achievements.
