Every year, Premier Members Credit Union recognizes high school seniors with academic, community involvement, and extracurricular activities, by providing higher-education scholarships.
Through its Premier Members scholarships, the credit union awards five, $5,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are continuing to technical school, university, college or community college. Applicants are selected based on academics, personal and career goals, community involvement, extracurricular activities. Financial need is considered, but not a determination of award.
Please include all the following when submitting your completed application:
- Complete application form
- List of all extracurricular activities (school, religious, community, volunteer, and sports). Include honors and awards, organizations, and clubs you participated in, including dates, offices held, responsibilities, etc.
- Official high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores
- Two detailed letters of recommendation (on letterhead, where applicable), from non-family members. These can include teachers, counselors, school administrators, employers, coaches, scout or religious leaders, etc. You can send a link from the website to those you ask to write these.
- 250-350 word essay describing yourself, why you’re uniquely qualified for this scholarship, what going to college means to you, goals and interests, and how this scholarship will help you further your educational goals. Grammar, content, clarity, and overall presentation will be considered. Please let us know here if you have a financial need here, tell us your story!
The application deadline is March 1, 2024. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Be sure to request your letters of recommendation early, too!

Selection Process
- Spring 2024 high school graduate, with a minimum (unweighted) 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
- Show acceptance to a higher-education institution or trade school within the United States, and begin school as a full-time freshman in the fall 2024
- Become a credit union member, if awarded a Premier Members scholarship
