Pride Foundation Scholarship Application 2026
Introduction
Pride Foundation scholarships support LGBTQ+ students in the Northwest who are pursuing education after high school. Each year, we award more than 50 individual scholarships to students in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
Our program centers LGBTQ+ students who are leading in their own lives, families, and communities, and who are working toward a more just and equitable world. We prioritize support for students who have faced systemic barriers to education or access to community support, including students of color, trans and gender-diverse students, immigrants, disabled students, those living in rural areas, and those experiencing poverty or housing instability.
While most scholarships are open to all eligible applicants, some funds have additional criteria based on major, background, or location. Students who meet both specific fund criteria and these broader equity priorities will be given special consideration.
Description
Before You Begin
Take a few minutes to look through the full application to get a sense of what information you’ll need.
You can save your progress and return to your application anytime before the deadline.
You’ll be asked to share information about yourself, your education, and your goals. Some questions may feel more personal than others, so answer in the way that feels most right to you. Our goal is to understand your story and connect you with scholarships that align with your experiences and aspirations.
Getting Started
The application is organized into several short sections that guide you through personal information, education history and plans, essays, and optional materials. You can complete them in any order.
For the essay section, we recommend writing your responses in another program first, then pasting them into the application when you’re ready. You can also record your responses for two of the essay questions.
Each section provides clear instructions, along with optional examples and context to help you decide what to include.
Optional Materials
You can choose to include any of the following:
Academic transcript (official or unofficial)
Resume (work experience, school activities, community involvement)
Letter(s) of recommendation
Writing or art samples (up to two)
These materials are optional. Include only what helps us understand your experience and goals more fully.

The Pride Foundation Scholarship program has been supporting LGBTQ+ students in the Northwest for more than 30 years. Since granting our first scholarship in 1993, the program has been sustained and expanded by many hundreds of people throughout our region and beyond, all united in our desire to help students like you thrive. Today, we host over 50 specific named scholarship funds in addition to our Pride Foundation Community Scholarship fund. You can learn more about the stories and people that inspired our named funds here on our website. We are committed to providing a positive and respectful experience for all our applicants, and have a Scholarship Applicant Bill of Rights to help us stay on track.
