Selection Process
The staff of the Foundation consults with each applicant’s supervisors, Human Resources, the Executive Director and other management as necessary to determine that they meet eligibility requirements. Applicants who qualify are then passed on to the resident-led Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship Committee reviews applications and awards scholarships.
Funds are sent directly to educational institutions. If the award recipient is unable to complete classes during the term of the reward, they are responsible for returning the funds to the Foundation upon disenrollment. Should there be extenuating circumstances that inhibit completion of coursework, the recipient should contact the Foundation immediately to explore options to help the recipient realize their academic goals.
NOTE TO APPLICANTS
Baptist Homes Foundation is here to help you. Please feel free to bring your application and materials to the Foundation office for a thorough review prior to submission. The Scholarship Committee will be reviewing your materials carefully. Here are some things they will be especially looking for:

Is the financial information complete? (This is especially important.)
Does the applicant make a compelling case based on need, merit and/or potential?
Does the applicant have a clear vision of their career path?
Are the reference letters from non-family members?
Did the applicant submit their most recent transcript?
