RMA Foundation Scholarship Program 2026

Introduction

The Risk Management Association Foundation Scholarship, sponsored by ProSight Financial Association, offers scholarships to undergraduate students interested in working in the financial industry after graduation. The RMA Foundation has awarded over $100,000 annually in scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Winners may reapply for up to two additional years of scholarship continuation, provided each student fulfills the renewal requirements.

FAQ:

Submissions are open from January 15th to March 15th.

Applications are reviewed between March and May.

Scholarship notifications will take place between June and July.

Payments will be made directly to the school in July and August.

Qualifications

  • Applicant must intend to work in the banking industry following graduation.

  • Applicant must be pursuing a degree.

  • Applicant must be enrolled full-time.

  • Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

  • ProSight Financial Association employees and their dependents are ineligible to apply. Others ineligible to participate include current members of the Board of Directors of ProSight Financial Association and their families.

Scholarship recipients are selected based on merit with the following factors:

  • Demonstrated interest in the banking industry (Examples include previous employment in a bank, RMA membership, involvement in a local RMA chapter, academic studies, and internships)

  • Academic achievement

  • Participation and leadership in community and school activities, or related work experience

  • Statement of career goals and objectives

Financial need will not be considered.

The RMA Foundation was formed in 2014 and sponsored by The Risk Management Association (RMA), now known as ProSight Financial Association, as a 501(c)(3) in response to the banking industry’s need to attract talent in a changing landscape and encourage students to pursue careers in the banking industry, primarily focused on awarding undergraduate scholarship awards.
