Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation Scholarship Program. Thank you for your interest in applying. Please note the following important information.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • 2026 Applications must be received by 4:30 pm, MDT on June 5, 2026.

  • Students must submit a completed application and their last official transcript for the 2026 school year.

  • A student must have a cumulative 3.0 grade point average in high school to be eligible to apply.

  • Applications will be evaluated on cumulative GPA, ACT or SAT College Test Scores, extracurricular activities, leadership activities, financial need, and involvement and contributions to the game of golf.

  • Applicants must be a resident within the geographical territory of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA.

  • Any incomplete applications will not be eligible for consideration

  • Due to IRS regulations, the foundation cannot pay scholarship funds to individuals. Scholarship winners must contact the foundation once they are enrolled at school so scholarship funds may be paid directly to the school.


Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation Scholarship Program

 

  1. Purpose - The purpose of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation Scholarship Program is to encourage and promote the attainment of higher educational goals for high school seniors based on evidence of a high level of academic achievement during high school.

  2. Eligibility - Applicants for the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation Scholarship Program must be high school seniors who have or plan to complete high school prior to September 1st. They must also be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full time student at an accredited college or university located within the United States. A full time student is defined as one who is taking 12 or more hours in a course of study leading to a traditional associates or baccalaureate degree. The applicant must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA based on a 4.0 grading scale. Students with distinguished honors should be noted. Applicant must be a resident within the geographic territory of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA. Please call us at (208) 939-6028 if you are unsure your residence is within our boundaries.

  3. Scholarship - The Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation Scholarship Program is designed to award high school seniors’ scholarships (provided they have met the required guidelines). The amount of the scholarships is determined by the availability of funds. Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation Scholarship Committee.

It is to be expected that each scholarship awarded in 2026 will be worth between $1,000 to $2,000.


The completed application and an official copy of the school transcript with ACT/SAT scores must be submitted by 4:30 pm, MDT on June 5, 2026. All candidates must read the information and directions very carefully. Incomplete or incorrect applications will not be considered. This form must be filled out completely and returned with the transcript and SAT/ACT scores.

The Snake River Chapter and Yellowstone Chapter Scholarship Program, funded through the Rocky Mountain PGA Foundation, has been in existence for the last forty-nine years providing scholarships to college bound high school seniors.

 

This Scholarship Program is an academic scholarship awarded based on academic achievement, community and extracurricular activity, financial need, leadership and involvement and contribution to the game of golf.

Selection Process

Applications will be ranked based on the following criteria:

  1. Cumulative Grade Point Average, ACT/SAT scores, high school extracurricular activities, leadership activities, financial need, and involvement and contribution to the game of golf. 
  2. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and plan to attend a college or university as a full-time student.
