Qualifications
All applicants must represent organizations that meet all the following criteria to be considered for the Foundation Slice of Literacy Community Grant 2026:
Organizations must be tax-exempt or recognized as a public library (funded and regulated by state and/or local government).
Organizations must be in good standing with both state and federal guidelines.
Organizations must not participate in discrimination on the basis of age, national origin, race or color, marital status, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status.
Organizations must support programs only in the United States, Guam or the District of Columbia (D.C.).

Selection Process
The Pizza Hut Foundation is dedicated to supporting literacy initiatives through its grant program, offering funds of up to $10,000 per grant. Applications are accepted and reviewed twice a year, with one grant awarded per organization annually. Final decisions are made before the next application cycle opens. To qualify for the grant, organizations must be within a 15-mile proximity to a local Pizza Hut, be tax-exempt or government funded and regulated, and fund programs within the US, Guam or D.C. . Additionally, they must agree to logo usage and recognition guidelines as prescribed. If recommended for a grant, funds are distributed via electronic payment or check, requiring the organization to provide correct banking information within 21 days of the primary owner being notified of the grant recommendation.
