2025 TwinStar Higher Education Scholarship Program
Introduction
The TwinStar Community Foundation is excited to offer 48 higher education scholarships to members of TwinStar and Northwest Community Credit Unions who plan on attending an institution of higher learning in the Fall of 2025. The application period opens February 1st and runs through March 15th, 2025.
Description
Not only are we offering 44 $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors AND continuing education students, but we also have four specialty legacy scholarships for members of the OR and WA credit unions. Students are eligible to apply, and can re-apply yearly to potentially receive a scholarship every year of their continuing education post high school. We'll begin accepting applications on February 1st. The application deadline is March 15, 2025.
Legacy Scholarships
Larry Levine Scholarship - $3,500
Awardee must be a Douglas County Resident in Oregon, attending Umpqua College.
Dewey Noblitt Scholarship - $2,000
Awardee must be a graduating senior from Olympia High School.
Jack Jutte Scholarship - $2,000
Awardee must be a graduating senior from Tenino High School.
JoAnne Sanford Vocational School - $2,000
Awardee must be enrolled in a vocational school, or a trade program at a community college.
Selection Process
The following requirements must be met in order for the application to be considered. If the application is not completed in its entirety, it will be determined ineligible.
Scholarships will be awarded to recipients in May and June.
Applicant must be a member in good standing with either TwinStar or Northwest Community Credit Union.
All application questions must be answered completely. Please provide an explanation if the question is not applicable.
Applicant must attach proof of enrollment in an institution of higher education, in the form of a copy of an acceptance letter or registration documentation.
Applicant must attach a copy of their most recent transcript, in the form of a high school transcript or higher education transcript (unofficial is acceptable).
Applicant must also include a letter of recommendation from a non-family member.
Please note: These scholarships are not available to the TwinStar Community Foundation board members or their immediate family members. Additionally, these scholarships are not available to members of TwinStar's or NWCU's senior management team, Board of Directors, or Supervisory Committee, or their immediate family members.
