Description
As part of its commitment to higher education, the Wings Credit Union Foundation will award undergraduate and post-graduate scholarships to outstanding members each year who plan to attend an accredited college, university or post-secondary technical school during the years for which the scholarship applies.
This year, we have added The Trysh and Pete Olson Memorial Fund to our scholarship totals. Trysh was the Manager of Education and our Foundation and was a leader in financial education and philanthropic efforts in Minnesota and throughout the country. On September, 6th, 2025, Trysh and her husband Pete, tragically passed away in a car accident. They will both be greatly missed, especially with their commitment to giving back to our communities.
Selection Process
Applicant must be a Wings Credit Union member with their own Primary Share Account
Applicant may NOT be a previous Wings Credit Union Foundation Scholarship recipient
Must be attending an accredited college, university or post-secondary technical school during the 2026-2027 academic year

Originally established to promote financial literacy initiatives in our communities, the Wings Credit Union Foundation has expanded its mission to include supporting our communities in times of need. In the years since, the Foundation has grown steadily to expand its programs and reach a wider range of individuals. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, where contributions directly fund Foundation initiatives. In addition to Foundation-led programs, we support local organizations through monetary donations and volunteering. The Foundation's focus is aligned with our core value of supporting and meeting the needs of the communities we serve.
