Women's Aviation Career Symposium - WACS 2025 Scholarship
Introduction
The Women's Aviation Career Symposium was founded in 2018 as an effort to help alleviate industry-wide shortages of pilots, mechanics, and other aviation professionals. Our mission is to be the leader in advancing our industry by promoting local companies, jobs, resources, and schools in Michigan and the surrounding Great Lakes States.
This conference and the scholarships awarded are made possible by contributions from our generous sponsors. Since our inception, we have given $111,500 in scholarships to 55 women.
Description
Scholarships are available to women only for Pilot/Flight training, Maintenance training, Professional Development, Flight Safety International Corporate Cabin Attendant, or any form of aviation education. To be considered for these scholarships, applicants must submit a 500- word essay, resume, one letter of recommendation, and proof of citizenship (passport or birth certificate).
Each applicant must be a high school junior or higher, and the applicant and training program must be in the Great Lakes States- Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, New York, and Pennsylvania. (Not including the Flight Safety International Corporate Cabin Attendant training which will be completed in Savannah GA or Teterboro NJ)
Previous WACS winners are ineligible for this scholarship.
Scholarship amount and quantity will be determined based on number of applications. Winners will be notified by email in mid-February and are requested to attend the event on March 15th, 2025.
