Sasser MAC Employee Scholarship 2025-2026

The Sasser MAC Employee Scholarship program is for individuals who are energetic and confident members in our community. This scholarship celebrates the amazing employees of the Multnomah Athletic Club.

Eligible applicants must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student and must be employed or their parent/guardian must be employed for one year by the Multnomah Athletic Club. One year of employment is determined by 12 months from the December 1st application open date.

The $5,000 scholarship is awarded for one academic year and applicants can re-apply each year based on continued eligibility. There is no restriction on the field of study and the scholarship can be applied at any 2-year, or 4-year accredited institution, accredited trade school or certified professional development program. The award can be used towards tuition, fees, books, materials or technology. Deadline for application is March 1st.

Applicants must be:

• An employee or dependent of an employee of the Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland Oregon who has been employed by MAC for at least one year as of December 1, 2024.

• Demonstrate financial need to further your education and training. We utilize the provided information through FAFSA, ORSAA, and the application to determine eligibility. There is no fixed financial threshold for eligibility.

• Have a minimum cumulative (unweighted) 2.5 GPA.

• Be enrolled or plan to enroll for the upcoming fall term in an accredited 2-year, 4- year, graduate degree, accredited trade school or certified professional development program.

• Engaged in civic involvement and demonstrates leadership in their school and community activities.

• U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees or Humanitarian Parolees – based on the guidelines utilized by U.S. Department of Education for Federal Financial Aid eligibility

Applicants may not be:

• Current Multnomah Athletic Club members or dependents of the club’s Executive Leadership team.

• Children or dependents of Multnomah Athletic Foundation staff or board of directors.
