Allen High School seniors in the graduating class of 2025 are eligible to apply for locally-funded scholarships made possible by donations from community members, current and former Allen ISD families, alumni, civic groups, campus PTAs, retired teachers and area businesses. Scholarships typically range between $500 and $5,000.
Complete ONE (1) application form online. You will automatically be considered for all scholarships for which you qualify based on the information you include in the application.
You will be able to leave the application at any time and come back to it later. To return to the application, click on the link sent to you by email or go to https://apply.mykaleidoscope.com/program/AllenSchoolsCommunityScholarship2024 any information entered will appear when you return if you are logged in to your Kaleidoscope account.
You will need to complete each step in the application before you can continue on to the next step. See order of steps to complete:
Step 1- Let’s get to know you (email will be sent to create a password)
Step 2- Tell us about your family
Step 3- Tell us about your education (GPA, class rank, ACT/SAT score)
Step 4- Post-secondary plans
Step 5- Financial Information
Step 6- Volunteer Service
Step 7- Employment
Step 8- Extracurricular Activities
Step 9- Honors and Awards
Step 10- Community Recommendation (1 name and email needed)
Step 11- Teacher Recommendation (2 names and emails needed)
Make sure you allow your recommenders plenty of time to complete the request.
Step 12- Essay Question (One essay required 300-500 words)
We recommend that students write their essay as a Word document and have someone proof it for them prior to adding it to the application. The essay must be the student’s original work.
You will need to select one essay from the following 4 choices:
1. Topic Essay: If you were to give a very important speech or a TED talk, what would it be about?
2. Background Essay: Describe a facet of your identity, background, or unique skills and why it is an important part of who you are.
3. Gratitude Essay: Reflect on something that someone has done for you that has made you happy or thankful in a surprising way. How has this gratitude affected or motivated you?
4. Challenge Essay: Have you ever struggled to overcome a challenge or try something you were afraid of? How did it go? What did you learn?

Step 14- Review entire application before submitting. Once your application is submitted, you will not be able to go back and edit it. You will receive an email verifying your application has been successfully submitted.

Selection Process
Complete and submit scholarship application, to include 3 recommendations.
If invited, participate in interview process in early February.
If selected for award, participate in Awards Reception in April.
